Book a spot on the next Writers Initiative Workshop:
We all know that the creative process can be lonely, and one of the biggest challenges writers face is staying motivated while undertaking the daunting task of finishing a poem, short story, screenplay, novel, or anything else.
In this fun, friendly, and supportive workshop you will learn how to maintain your creative health and how to be your own best mentor and coach throughout all stages of the writing process.
You can expect a number of writing prompts and exercises that will help you to establish a dialogue with different sides of yourself: your inner Artist, Critic, Censor, Planner, and more. Together we will build a toolbox of different strategies to find inspiration, coach yourself through creative challenges, deal with setbacks, and maintain your artistic direction. This workshop will also leave you with a greater understanding of the creative process in general, as well as the confidence to dive into your next project knowing that you will be able to seek and find inner support whenever needed.
This workshop is perfect for writers of all levels of experience. Come ready with a notebook, pen, computer, whatever you prefer to write with — and a willingness to play and explore! You will also have the opportunity (if you wish) to share your own creative challenges for the chance to be given a customised writing prompt for support.
Enter the online meeting room from 2pm for a 2:05ish start. The meetup will be conducted on Zoom. Any questions about Zoom, just ask!
There are no refunds available for this event, but if something happens on the day please get in touch, we may be able to give you a place on a different workshop at a later date.
See you then!!
